The UGREEN UG-60980 is a dual-port car charger that delivers up to 52.5W of combined charging power through one USB-C and one USB-A port. Built around the CD213 platform, this compact adapter plugs into any standard 12V–24V cigarette lighter socket. It supports both Power Delivery 3.0 and Quick Charge 3.0 protocols simultaneously. As a result, the UGREEN UG-60980 can charge an iOS device and an Android phone at the same time without compromising speed on either port.

Dual Fast Charging Protocols

The USB-C port on the UGREEN UG-60980 supports PD 3.0 with a maximum output of 30W. This means it can charge an iPhone 15 from 0% to 60% in roughly 30 minutes. Meanwhile, the USB-A port delivers up to 22.5W through QC 3.0, FCP, and SCP protocols. That makes it compatible with fast charging standards used by Samsung, Huawei, and Xiaomi devices. Together, both ports push a combined 52.5W output, so neither port needs to throttle significantly during simultaneous use.

Aluminium Alloy Construction and Compact Design

Rather than using standard plastic housings, the UGREEN UG-60980 features an aluminium alloy shell. This material choice serves two purposes. First, it improves heat dissipation during extended charging sessions. Second, it adds scratch resistance to match vehicle interior finishes. Additionally, the charger measures just 53mm in length, which keeps it flush with the dashboard. A subtle LED ring around the top indicates charging status. It emits a soft glow that is visible at night without being distracting.

Intelligent Power Management and Safety

Inside, the UGREEN UG-60980 uses an intelligent power management chip. This chip handles current distribution between both ports automatically. It also provides five layers of protection: over-current, over-voltage, over-temperature, short-circuit, and overcharge safeguards. Furthermore, gold-plated internal contacts reduce heat generation during charging, which contributes to consistent power delivery over the lifespan of the charger. When a second device is plugged in, the charger briefly pauses output to redistribute power safely before resuming.
