Description

Vention HDMI Network Cable Extender 150M — Gray Aluminum Alloy Type (AKBH0)

The Vention AKBH0 is a powered HDMI-over-Ethernet extender that transmits Full HD 1080p video, audio, USB, and infrared control signals from a source device to a display up to 150 metres away using a single CAT5e or CAT6 network cable. It is designed for large-scale commercial and institutional installations — auditoriums, conference halls, university lecture theatres, retail spaces, and multi-floor office environments — where a standard HDMI cable or even a short-range extender falls well short of what is needed. The AKBH0 ships as a matched transmitter (TX) and receiver (RX) pair in anodized gray aluminum alloy housings rated for 24/7 continuous operation, and includes a KVM function that routes USB keyboard and mouse signals back to the source over the same Ethernet cable.

At 150 metres, the AKBH0 sits in a significantly different category from entry-level 30m or 60m extenders. It is built for situations where the signal must travel across building floors, through lengthy cable runs in suspended ceilings, or between structures on the same campus. The engineering-grade chipset inside both units is optimised for stable long-distance HD transmission, preventing the picture distortion and signal dropout that consumer-grade hardware produces when pushed to this range.

Additionally, the AKBH0 supports triple cascading — connecting further units downstream to extend the total distance to 450 metres — making it a scalable foundation for the most demanding permanent AV installations. Bidirectional IR pass-through means a remote control at the display end can operate the source device at the transmitter end, so you never need to physically access the source room to change channels, adjust volume, or control playback.
