The Vention RJ45 Splitter Adapter (IPTB0) is a compact 1-to-2 RJ45 adapter that splits a single Ethernet cable run into two physical RJ45 ports, allowing two network devices to share one cable between two locations. It suits home users, small office workers, and network installers who need to extend an existing cable run to two endpoints without running a second cable or installing an additional network switch.

The adapter works by splitting the eight conductors in a standard Cat.5E or Cat.6 cable across two RJ45 ports — four wires per port — enabling 100 Mbps network access at each end. However, the IPTB0 requires an identical adapter at both ends of the cable run to function correctly. Additionally, both connected devices share the same physical cable, so simultaneous independent gigabit connections are not possible — this is a cable-sharing solution, not a network switch replacement. The PVC and metal construction provides a durable, portable form factor that fits directly into standard RJ45 wall ports and device ports without additional mounting hardware.
