The Ugreen UG-40201UK is a 1-in-2-out HDMI amplifier splitter designed to mirror a single HDMI source across two displays simultaneously. Built around HDMI 1.4 and powered by an active signal amplification circuit, the UG-40201UK maintains signal integrity across both outputs without degradation — a common weakness of passive splitters.

Signal Quality and Video Resolution

The UG-40201UK supports video resolutions up to 4K×2K at 30Hz, alongside full backward compatibility with 1080p (at 24/50/60Hz), 1080i, 720p, 576p, and 480p. Furthermore, it supports 12-bit deep colour, delivering richer gradients and more accurate colour reproduction compared to standard 8-bit output.

Pixel format support includes RGB, YCbCr 4:4:4, and YCbCr 4:2:2, giving it flexibility across a range of professional and consumer display configurations. The internal bandwidth reaches 340MHz with transfer speeds up to 10.2Gbps, which ensures headroom for high-bitrate content streams.

Because the UG-40201UK uses active amplification, both output ports receive a boosted, buffered signal. As a result, cable runs are more reliable — up to 10 metres on each output leg at 4K resolution, and up to 15 metres per leg at 1080p.

3D Video Support
