Key Features & Benefits

  • Stable 1080p @ 60Hz output: Delivers Full HD video at a smooth 60 frames per second — covering the full resolution of the vast majority of office monitors, projectors, and external displays without any configuration on the source device.
  • Synchronised audio and video pass-through: Carries the audio signal alongside the video over the HDMI output, so sound plays through the connected display or AV receiver without a separate audio cable — confirmed to work with HDMI-enabled monitors and TVs with built-in speakers.
  • No drivers, no power, no configuration: The passive converter draws no external power and requires no software installation on any operating system. Plug the DisplayPort end into the source, connect an HDMI cable from the adapter to the display, and the signal appears immediately.
  • Mirror and extend display modes: Compatible with both mirror mode (duplicating the source screen) and extend mode (using the connected display as an independent second screen) — the mode is set through the operating system’s display settings, not the adapter itself.
  • Compact 0.15m stub design: The short pigtail keeps the adapter tight to the machine’s port, reducing stress on the DisplayPort connector during use and making it small enough to leave permanently connected in a laptop bag or AV kit without snagging on other items.

Vention DP to HDMI Converter 0.15M — Black (HBGBB)

The Vention HBGBB is a compact, passive DisplayPort-to-HDMI converter that connects a desktop PC, workstation, or laptop with a DisplayPort output directly to any HDMI-enabled monitor, TV, or projector. At 15cm long, it functions as a stub adapter that sits flush at the port without cable clutter — ideal for desk setups, AV racks, and travel bags where tidiness matters. It supports up to 1080p @ 60Hz with synchronised audio, requires no external power, and works immediately on Windows, macOS, and Linux without driver installation.

DisplayPort is standard on most desktop graphics cards and business laptops, while the majority of consumer displays — TVs, projectors, and many external monitors — accept only HDMI. The Vention HBGBB bridges this gap cleanly. Its passive design converts the DisplayPort signal electronically without compression or quality loss, delivering a stable, flicker-free Full HD picture on the connected screen. The short 0.15m pigtail length keeps the adapter close to the source port, preventing the leverage stress on the connector that longer adapters can cause over time.
