Description

Vention HDMI Network Cable Extender 60M — Gray Aluminum Alloy Type (AKGH0)

The Vention AKGH0 is a powered HDMI-over-Ethernet extender that transmits Full HD 1080p video and audio from a source device to a display up to 60 metres away using a single CAT5e, CAT6, or CAT7 network cable rather than a long HDMI cable. It ships as a matched transmitter (TX) and receiver (RX) pair and suits home theatre rooms, conference spaces, classrooms, retail signage installations, and any environment where the source and display are too far apart for a standard HDMI cable to reach reliably. The anodized gray aluminum alloy housing on both units provides robust passive heat dissipation for extended continuous use and protects the internal circuitry against static discharge and physical damage.

Standard HDMI cables become unreliable beyond 10–15 metres without active boosting, and running a single long HDMI cable across a building or through a ceiling is impractical in most installations. The Vention AKGH0 solves this by converting the HDMI signal at the transmitter end into a format that travels cleanly over widely available CAT-series Ethernet cable — infrastructure that is already present in many buildings — and then reconstructing the full signal at the receiver end with no visible quality loss. The result is a stable 1080p Full HD picture and lossless audio at the display end, regardless of the cable run between the two units. Setup is entirely plug-and-play: connect the TX to the source, connect the RX to the display, link them with a CAT5e or better Ethernet cable, attach the power adapters, and both units begin transmitting immediately — no drivers, no software, no network router required.

    • 1 × HDMI A Female (source input)
    • 1 × RJ45 Female (Ethernet cable output to RX)
    • 1 × DC power input (3.5 × 1.35mm barrel, 5V/1A)
  • Receiver (RX) — display side:
    • 1 × RJ45 Female (Ethernet cable input from TX)
    • 1 × HDMI A Female (display output)

  • Connector finish: Nickel-plated

Transmission Cable

  • Required cable type: CAT5e, CAT6, or CAT7 Ethernet (RJ45) — not included in box
  • Maximum transmission distance: 60m / 197ft over CAT6 or CAT7; up to 50m / 164ft over CAT5e
  • Cable notes: Use a straight-through (patch) cable, not a crossover cable. Shielded (STP) cable recommended for environments with high electrical interference.

Power

  • Power supply: DC 5V / 1A × 2 (one adapter per unit — both included in box)
  • Power protection: Over-current, over-voltage, and short-circuit protection on included adapters

Physical

  • Housing material: Anodized aluminum alloy
  • Color: Gray
  • Anti-static: Yes — aluminum shell provides electrostatic discharge protection
  • Heat dissipation: Passive via aluminum shell and vent design
  • LED indicators: Power and signal status LEDs on both TX and RX units

In the Box

  • 1 × Vention AKGH0 HDMI Transmitter (TX)
  • 1 × Vention AKGH0 HDMI Receiver (RX)
  • 2 × DC 5V/1A power adapters (one per unit)
  • 1 × User manual
  • Not included: CAT5e/CAT6/CAT7 Ethernet cable (purchase separately based on required run length)

Compatibility

  • Sources: Desktops, laptops, gaming consoles (PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch in docked mode), Blu-ray players, set-top boxes, CCTV recorders, streaming devices, and media players with HDMI output
  • Displays: TVs, monitors, projectors — any HDMI-enabled screen
  • Operating systems: Windows, macOS, Linux — no drivers required
  • Note on PS5 / Xbox Series X/S: Both consoles default to 4K/60Hz or higher HDMI output. For use with the AKGH0 (which supports up to 1080p), manually set the console’s display output to 1080p in its settings before connecting to the TX unit.
